Project two was all about perspective. I did a project on Political Satire. This was probably my most research based project so far, but it was very fun to write jokes with others and research current and past political and social issues. For social studies, I wrote a White House dinner correspondents speech. For English, I did a children's book on the Religious Freedom Act and for art, I did a song parody of "What comes next" from the musical, Hamilton. I showed perspective during this project by reading some Mark Twain and understanding his political beliefs, and putting those beliefs into my speech. I found out that Twain would not like some of these modern politicians, and used that to target those whom Twain wouldn't like and made jokes about them. I also used the song from Hamilton and put it into a different perspective by making Putin sing the song to the Americans after the Russia scandal with Trump. I also used perspective in my children's book by putting a serious issue- the Religious Freedom Act- and simplified it so children could understand it.
